Face Lift
Reshaping of face and neck flex skin.
Face and neck lift is the most effective method to restore youthful and more attractive appearance. It consists on excision of excess skin, folds and to reduce wrinkles, which are an effect of ageing process. During the treatment it is possible also gently to reshape facial lines.
PREPARATION TO SURGERY
Before operation it is necessary to conduct an interview with the medical consultant. Medical consultant explains principles of the treatment, its procedure, possible results as well as possible complications. An additional contact with the plastic surgeon is sometimes needed, who will perform the operation. The patient receives consent to undergo surgery. The patient gives consent directly before surgery. After pre-qualification there is held an Anaesthesiological Consultation, during which the doctor shall commission some basic blood and heart examinations (blood type, morphology, ESR, electrocardiography, etc.). Directly before operation the plastic surgeon talks with the patient and he ultimately decides to carry out the treatment.
ANAESTHETIZATION
The operation is conducted under general anesthesia.
SURGERY PROCEDURE
During operation the surgeon performs delicate incisions in little visible places: in temporal are, in front and behind the ear as well as in hair all over sides of the head. Next he dissects and removes an excess of face and neck skin. Additionally, in places where it lost its natural flexibility the surgeon stretches mime fascia surrounding muscles. Excess skin tissue is removed. Tissues are covered with delicate stitches and a dressing is put on. The operation lasts 2-3 hours. After treatment the skin looks natural and doesn’t lose its facial expression.

STAY IN THE CLINIC
After the operation patient stays in clinic 2 days. Also a longer stay is possible.
POST-SURGERY PROCEDURE
On the first days after operation a swelling and bruising may appear on the skin. Usually there are necessary 2-3 visits in order to change dressings. A part of stitches is removed after 7 days, and rest after 9-10 days after the operation. Treatment effect is visible after 10 days. Total healing lasts about a month. At this time, it is recommended to limit physical activity, avoid sudden movements, bending and lifting of heavy things
CHECK-UPS
If it is possible, patients report to check-ups after 6 weeks and 6 months after surgery.
